The Lord of the Dance… Dances Over Me and You!

Read the other day that, in Aramaic (the everyday language Jesus spoke), the word for “rejoice” was derived from the verb for “to dance.”  The possibilities here are many: worship is dance, Jesus calls us to dance, Jesus/God dance over us,…

In regards to the latter, Brennan Manning writes:

Dear Baby: God danced the day you were born. What a day of joy as He gave you as a gift to Himself. Through your infancy and teenage years, He will continue to rejoice over you, because His love is never based on your performance, never conditional by your moods, and will never know any shadow of change.

Somewhere in all this, my mind is drawn to Philips, Craig, and Dean…
